How to Clean and Disinfect the Live Active Five Oxygen Concentrator?

When the device and its accessories are used between users, trained technicians must clean and disinfect the device and its accessories to avoid infection and remove the possibility of pathogen transmission.

  1. Disable all external power to the computer and remove the battery.
  2. Dispose of and uninstall any accessories, such as cannulas and oxygen tubing, that are not appropriate for multiple users.
  3. Clean off the external surfaces with Super Sani-Cloth or similar germicidal disposable wipes. Remove any apparent debris from the device, battery, and attachment exterior surfaces. Be sure to thoroughly examine and clean any seams or recesses on the unit that could trap pollutants. To clear dirt, wipe with a clean paper towel.
  4. After removing any apparent bacteria, use a second germicidal wipe to properly wet the device's and accessories' surfaces. Allow for 4 minutes of wetness. If necessary, use more wipes to ensure that all surfaces stay damp for the full 4 minutes.
  5. Allow the system to dry entirely in the open air.
  6. Check for visible contaminants on the system. If required, repeat the cleaning/disinfection procedure.
