Can I use tap water in an oxygen concentrator?

Only distilled water should be used in humidifier bottle for oxygen concentrators. Tap water has minerals that can clog the stem inside the humidifier bottle. this will cause back pressure and a reduction in oxygen flow. Back pressure can also occur which will cause the oxygen concentrator to alarm.

Note: use distilled water only.

Do not use tap water, bottled drinking water, or home filtered water. Boiling any of these types of water is not recommended either.
