The Sunset Health Advanced Finger Pulse Oximeter measures the blood oxygen saturation level to determine how efficiently oxygen is being carried by measuring it in the finger, an extremity furthest from the heart. It clips to the tip of a finger. The oximeter directs tiny light beams through the blood in the finger, measuring changes of light absorption. Different levels of light are absorbed when blood has different levels of oxygen present. The pulse oximeter then displays oxygen saturation levels and heart rate.
